Current Job: Digital Correspondent Fresh Tape Media

What initially drew me to CSBN was the community. From my very first broadcast, I felt at home—everyone was so open to teaching and helping me learn the tricks of the trade. It was a space where I could make mistakes and grow, learning from some of the best. One of the most memorable parts was hearing from industry professionals in intimate speaker sessions where they shared their journeys and experiences.

CSBN gave me the opportunity to try out so many different broadcast positions, which helped me discover what I was most passionate about. I refined my camera skills, which now directly contribute to my current role. It also taught me how to be collaborative—broadcasting is never a solo job, and working with people across different positions and skill sets helped me adapt and become a better teammate. Thanks to CSBN, I developed technical skills and familiarity with programs like Ross Inception and broadcast cameras, which gave me a leg up in the industry.

A particularly memorable moment for me was the 2023 Homecoming Football game, where I got to commentate alongside fellow CSBN alum Steven Hogencamp. It was my first time ever commentating a football game, and it was such an exciting experience.

Currently, I’m a Contracted NBA Digital Correspondent with Fresh Tape Media. My main responsibilities include attending Lakers and Clippers games to shoot mobile phone content of pre-game, in-game, and post-game moments. I deliver this content in real time directly to the NBA through Fresh Tape Media. I also get the unique opportunity to work with the NBA Championship Trophy at various entertainment events.

Looking ahead, my goal is to become a Director of Social Media for a sports team or company.
