A Bit About Me
My freshman year at Chapman, after a TA mentioned it to me offhandedly, I signed up to work a CSBN football game with no prior experience or knowledge of live broadcasting. After being taught how to use our 3Play machine the morning of the game, I got to feel the joy of watching my instant replay be rolled in our broadcast for the first time. I spent the next 3 years of my college career chasing that joy and became dedicated to trying to share it with others, leading to me serving as CSBN’s president my senior year— the organization’s first official year as a club. I was a part of skeleton crew broadcasts where I was covering multiple positions at once, and also produced broadcasts with so many crew members that we were creating new positions for them to fill. Some of my closest friendships started in CSBN and it’s been an honor to watch the club grow since we were on the crew together.
Since graduating in 2023, I’ve been working in the world of live television, particularly that of variety TV and specials. I currently freelance in the script/continuity department, where I help gather and distribute all information on a production in the form of cohesive documents like a script and run of show. I help monitor changes and revisions and pass them off to the necessary parties with the speed and accuracy crucial to a live show. My career has taken me to shows like the Academy Awards, Kennedy Center Honors, Tony Awards, ESPYs, America’s Got Talent, Golden Globes, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and more. I’m looking forward to learning more from my colleagues in the script department as I rise in the ranks and get to work on more fun, new projects in the future!
